The Team
Hi, I'm Melani, and I have dedicated myself to the field of education since 2004. My journey began in the public school system, where I served as an instructional aide, substitute teacher, and eventually as an elementary school teacher. Over time, I achieved my National Board Certification, marking a significant milestone in my career.
Currently, I find fulfillment in working with students of all ages, catering to public, private, and homeschooling families. This diverse experience has enriched my understanding of education and the needs of learners in various environments.
Outside of work, I treasure spending time with my family, which includes my high school sweetheart and our two boys. Whether we're attending church services, savoring a bowl of ramen, or traveling, these moments together hold great significance in my life.
I remain committed to making a positive impact in education and creating memorable experiences!
Hello. I am Emerald Carroll. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of San Carlos in the Philippines. In 2015, I embarked on my career in education as a Pre-K Teacher Assistant, eventually transitioning to the role of an Instructional Aide at Park Western Place Elementary School. Over the past few years, my focus has been on homeschooling our son. However, he recently expressed a desire to attend Mary Star of the Sea High School, where he was accepted with honors and awarded a financial scholarship based on his achievements. Subsequently, I was invited back to Park Western Place Elementary School to resume my role as an Instructional Aide and provide technical support for the school.
My husband and I reside in San Pedro, with 17 years of marriage behind us. My approach to education is characterized by patience, empathy, and dedication. Drawing from a combination of professional experience and homeschooling, I am committed to ensuring that every child under my guidance has a nurturing and enriching learning journey.
